GAMEDRIVES
Since starting Elephant Garden Safaris - a tour company - in 2016, we have focussed on superior photography experiences for our customers during their Kenyan safari. We have continued this focus when opening Elephant Garden Camp. Gamedrives are the main activity at Elephant Garden Camp and for a superior experience, every individual or group is guaranteed a private vehicle so that our driver-guides can fully adapt the gamedrives to the specific interests of every group or photographer.
Some of our gamedrive vehicles are specifically adapted for photographers. Elephant Garden Camp can also arrange the necessary off-road permits for professional photographers contributing to conservation and film crews.
WALKING SAFARIS
Around the camp, in our own private conservancy, there are many opportunities for short walks. How about learning about animals footprints, enjoying a bird walk or feeling the excitement of walking at short distance of a journey of giraffes? Our experienced guides can always adapt a walk to your personal interests.
SUNDOWNER
Enjoy the magic of an African sundowner after a day photographing wildlife. Within our Elephant Garden Conservancy we have our favourite sundowner area with perfect views of both Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Amboseli sunset, lighting the sky in wonderful colours while the day changes into night.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
At an extra fee, we can organise a cultural visit to a local Maasai village or a visit to the the Amboseli Elephant Research Project (AERP) located inside Amboseli National Park. AERP was started in 1973 by Cynthia Moss and celebrated its 50th birthday in 2023. On prior request they arrange lectures for small groups.
